Description
IGF-1 LR3 Reference Material | Extended Half-Life IGF-1 Analog
IGF-1 LR3 (Long Arg3 IGF-1; MW ~9,200 Da; 83 residues) is a modified insulin-like growth factor 1 analog with an arginine substitution at position 3 and a 13-residue N-terminal extension. These modifications reduce binding affinity to IGF-binding proteins (IGFBPs) by approximately 1,000-fold, extending the biological half-life from ~10 minutes (native IGF-1) to 20–30 hours — making it the most practical IGF-1R reference ligand for studies requiring sustained receptor activation.
Laboratory Research Applications
- IGF-1 receptor (IGF-1R) binding kinetics and activation studies
